Welcome to my Substack
Dear friends, I have enrolled you in the launch of my Substack. This means you are currently subscribed to my posts, and will receive them in your email inbox.
If this is one email too many for you, or simply don’t have time for yet another email, I understand completely if you want to unsubscribe. No hard feelings!
If you’d rather not get emails, but still read along from time to time, you can just navigate to frankcentinello.substack.com for the same writing.
That said, on my Substack, I intend to share some of my personal journal themes, explore contemporary issues, propose new ideas, commit grammatical errors, passionately argue points I want to make, and share other media I find interesting such as podcasts, books, interviews, graphics, vexillology, and analyses.
My goals with this project are:
Provide some engaging reading for you and others.
Pose questions to prompt discussion.
Curate a haven of humble curiosity and polite discourse in the world.
Improve my writing, research, and debate skills.
Some of what you’ll get:
Exercised, researched, and reasoned arguments.
A forum for discussion - although, I think you’ll have to be a subscriber in order to post comments and tell me how wrong I am.
Elevation of the work of others that I have found enlightening, enriching, and provocative.
My Promises:
When I’m wrong (and I will be), I will offer a timely correction.
When I’m right, I will rub it in. Just kidding.
I will try to keep my writing efficient. It’s an honor to have your time.
My moderation. I won’t tolerate any incivility in any discussions. Passion is welcome and required, but we absolutely must assume the best in each other if we are to create a better world. And, as someone with a passion for space exploration and engineering, I aspire to engineer a better society which will inhabit Earth and many more planets to follow. We only get to have that if we trust one another. Bring your skepticism, but check your cynicism at the door.
Thank you for reading this far, and for your support, participation and critique! Go Bills.
If you’ve read this far, you’ve done me a great honor by spending your time reading my essay. I will ask that if you enjoyed it, to consider subscribing (for free!) and sharing it with others.
Note: I would like to keep my work free for all, but would accept donations to produce these essays. If you have the means and inclination, please consider a paid subscription. I’ve set my subscription prices to the minimum that Substack will allow. If you even consider support in this way, the honor is mine.
Also, my references and links are always worth exploring. Many of them are podcasts that are great for commutes and chore-time. Thank you again!
